The 15 and under Indiana Blazers, with 4
Columbus players, won the 15 and under A-A-U
Baseball National Championship in Vero Beach,
FL.
GOOD START
The Bartholomew County 13 and under Little
League baseball team is 3-0 in the State
Championship Tourney in Hobart, after a late
Friday 10-6 win.

A WINNER!
The Roselle, IL, Rockers are winners of the
U-S-S-S-A 18's Fast Pitch Softball World Series
in Columbus. The 16's championship will be
at 7:00 PM Saturday at Lincoln Park.
SENIOR SWATTERS
Two Columbus men's slow pitch softball teams
are in Gallatin, TN, this weekend for the I-S-A
Nationals: Silver Stix, coached by Jim Ogilvie,
and the Indiana Legends, led by Danny
Reynolds.
BULL DOG BASH
The annual Columbus North Blue & White
Day will be Saturday, August 7th, beginning with
a 4:00 PM all-sports meeting at Erne
Auditorium. All fall sports teams will
perform, highlighted by a football scrimmage at
7:00 PM.
MACY MOVE
Former Columbus North and Columbus East
assistant girls basketball coach Amy Macy has
been named head varsity girls basketball coach
at South Decatur High School.

Steve Brunes, who left the bench last year due
to his wife's illness, will be back in the
harness this season. Steve has taken the
head coaching job at 2A Alexandria High School.
