COLUMBUS
GOES PRO
The old American Basketball Association has
been revived, with 70 teams launched across the
country. A Brown County resident, Rex
Boils, has purchased a franchise, and plans to
locate the "Indiana Diesels" in
Columbus at Ceraland. The team will play
12 - 14 home games beginning in December.
The season will continue through March 10th,
followed by playoffs. The team roster
includes a couple of 7-footers from the
Cincinnati area. The plan calls for
players to be very active in the community,
presenting clinics, etc. Ceraland's
gymnasium can seat 300 - 400. Stay tuned!
