NEW LOOK
Columbus East football coach Bob Gaddis says
he's made a couple of switches involving key
Olympian gridders. Clayton Miller moves
from cornerback to linebacker and Reggie Ringo
from wide receiver to corner back.

All sports passes are now on sale at Columbus
East, Columbus North, and Hauser High School
athletic offices.
CHANGE OF HEART
Former Columbus East tennis and baseball
stalwart Josh Burnett is transferring to
Cincinnati Christian University. He'll play
tennis and probably baseball. Josh tells us he
has elected to go into the ministry field. This
means he'll follow in the footsteps of his
father, Pastor Dave Burnett.
DIAMOND DANDY
Columbus North baseball player Kevin Tompkins
will attend Parkland Junior College in
Champaign, IL, this fall on a full athletic
scholarship. He is slated to be the #1 receiver
for the school.
COOL AIDE
Columbus East has a new assistant athletic
director: Tyler Davis. He comes here from
Union-Modoc High School, and is a Bloomington
native. Davis replaces Eddie Vogel, who has
assumed the East mathematics department
chairmanship. Vogel will also continue to be an
assistant football coach.
BACK IN THE HARNESS
Jennings County Schools Assistant Superintendant
Kendall Wildey, the winningest coach in Panther
cage history, will coach the junior high boys
team at Columbus Christian School this season.
