Indiana Unemployment Rate Slightly Up
Indiana Unemployment Rate Slightly Up

The latest unemployment figures for Indiana have been released. At 9.8 percent, Marc Lotter with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development says Indiana still has the lowest unemployment rate of any neighboring state. Lotter says that prior to September, Indiana had three straight months of declining unemployment.

Locally, Bartholomew County's unemployment rate dropped three-tenths of a percentage point to 8.6 percent. Jackson County dropped three-tenths of a point to 9.9 percent and Jennings County's unemployment rate fell four-tenths of a point to 11.8 percent.
