Indiana House Adjourned Until Wednesday

The Indiana House is not expected to get back together until Wednesday.  House Speaker Pat Bauer says he adjourned the chamber last Thursday evening until this Wednesday because he wanted to give lawmakers time to "cool off."

Meanwhile, Senate President Pro Tempore David Long wants Bauer to apologize to Senator Brandt Hershman for adjourning the House due to Hershman's decision to go to a GOP fundraiser last Thursday evening. 

Governor Mitch Daniels told reporters on Friday that Democrats in House had been planning the action last week before Hershman's decision to leave for a few hours last Thursday evening.

The Senate will meet today.  Lawmakers have until March 14th to get their work done.
