United Way Thanks Community

The United Way of Bartholomew County is thanking the community for a great year. United Way President Mark Stewart says they hit their goal of over $4 million.

Stewart admits he was a little surprised, based on the slow economic climate. He says the fact that their goal was reached shows that the community understands the value that the United Way and its agencies provide. Stewart adds that the fact that some 25,000 out of the approximately 77,000 Bartholomew County Residents are impacted at some point by the United Way also shows that the organization has done a good job at getting their message and services out to the people who need them.
