Seymour Community Schools says due to projected increase in student enrollment next year, the school district plans to hire as many as 11 new employees before the start of the next school year.
The "Seymour Tribune" reports those positions include school nurses, classroom teachers and assistants and administrators.
School board trustees approved the request recently from interim Superintendent Robert Hooker to create and post the additional positions.
Nancy Lumley, business manager, estimates the total cost for all the positions to be around $450,200.
