The Johnson County Sheriff's Department arrested two women Tuesday on a number of charges.
Authorities arrested 29-year-old Nicole Parr during a drug buy Tuesday afternoon. The Sheriff's department alleges that Parr arrived in a car stolen from Avis. Details of the drug deal included the selling of that vehicle to an undercover detective for cash and Oxycontin pills.
Once Parr was in custody, officers approached the stolen car. Sitting inside was Parr's mother, 54-year-old Theresa Kennedy. She was arrested after police allegedly found marijuana in her purse. Kennedy told police that the marijuana belonged to Parr.
Both women were transported and booked in to the Johnson County Jail. There has been no word as to when their initial hearings will take place and the investigation is ongoing.
