An Edinburgh couple was arrested on drug charges following the search of their home on Duncan Street in Edinburgh Wednesday.
Edinburgh Police Chief David Mann says 40-year-old Gary Sneed is charged with dealing methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of precursors and possession of an injection device. Thirty-year-old Amber Nichole England is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of an injection device and possession of marijuana.
Mann says besides his department, officers from the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office, along with K-9 teams from the Rushville and Shelbyville Police Departments and Shelby County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search at the home.
Officers seized items including meth, narcotics, marijuana, meth precursors, a one pot style meth lab as well as tools and devices commonly used in the production, sale and use of meth.
Indiana State Police removed the lab and hazardous materials from the home. The White River Fire Department's Haz-Mat team did a mandatory decontamination of the couple.
They were booked into the Johnson County Jail. Sneed's bond was set at $112,000. England's bond was set at $9,000.
