Three people were arrested on a number of charges early Thursday morning after police were called to a report of a group of juveniles throwing eggs at houses in the Brockton Manor subdivision.
Johnson County Sheriff's deputies responded to the call and found two teenage boys walking along Cobblestone Way. As the deputy approached, he noticed one of the boys carrying a marijuana pipe. The boys told the deputy that they had recently left a party at 4131 Cobblestone Way. They also volunteered information that there was underage drinking and marijuana use taking place inside the home.
When deputies went to the home, they heard people inside the house yelling "Police!" and "Cops!" and saw several juveniles attempting to flee the scene. As authorities attempted to stop people from fleeing, they were able to apprehend four people. In the course of the apprehensions, they allegedly witnessed evidence of underage drinking and marijuana use.
After being refused entry into the home, police returned a short time later with a search warrant. When those inside refused to let them in, police broke in through the front door. Investigators say there was ample evidence of alcohol use and the smell of marijuana was strong in the air, but there was no marijuana to be found. Investigators believe those in the home had time to dispose of it during the wait for the search warrant.
Police learned that the owners of the home were out of state. Their 16-year-old son was left at home and likely threw the party.
Arrested were 19-year-old Tyler S. Jarjoura, 18-year-old Bryce P. Hillman and 18-year-old Jordan L. Adamowicz, all of Greenwood. All three were booked on alcohol offenses. Jarjoura and Hillman were also charged with interfering with police.
Deputies also took a number of minors into custody who were ultimately released to their parents. The 16-year-old that lived in the home was released to other family members.
