Schneck Medical Center has been named one of the "100 Great Community Hospitals" in the United States by Becker's Hospital Review; one of only three hospitals in Indiana to be named to the list including Major Hospital in Shelbyville and Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville.
Stephanie Furlow, director of marketing and public relations at Schneck Medical Center, says the hospital was recognized for its demonstrated commitment to the health of the community through clinical excellence and service to the community. This is fourth time this year Schneck has been named to a prestigious Becker's list including "100 Great Hospitals," "100 Best Places to Work," and "Top 100 Leaders of Great Hospitals."
Becker's stated, "Whether independent or part of a larger health system, these hospitals have worked with limited resources to continually provide the quality of care and the experience patients expect."
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected community hospitals based on rankings and awards from iVantage Health Analytics, Truven Health Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters), Healthgrades and The Joint Commission. Hospitals do not pay and cannot pay to be included on this list.
"To be recognized as one of the best community hospitals in the country means we are succeeding in our 102-year-old mission of providing the highest quality of services to the communities we serve," said Gary A. Meyer, Schneck President/CEO, "This is a true testament to the exceptional care and service delivered by our physicians, clinicians and staff every day."
