An underage drinking party was broken up early Sunday morning in Johnson County.
Deputy Bradley Napier, with the Johnson County Sheriff Office, says around 1 a.m., dispatch received a call about the party happening at 7990 West 100 North in Whiteland.
When the deputy arrived, he found a large group of people standing around a camp fire behind the house. The deputy then spoke to a man who identified himself as 23-year-old Richard Lee Cave of Whiteland, who lived at the address.
Cave told the deputy that he and some of his friends were just having a few drinks and a bonfire.
Deputy Napier says he began to collect IDs from everyone there for age verification. He found that four were under the age of 21.
Two underage girls did not register on the portable breath test. Another person was taken to a local gas station to meet her parents. An underage boy registered .04 on the portable breath test.
The deputy told him what he was being arrested for and was taken to the Johnson County Jail where he was turned over to jail staff without incident.
