The Jackson County Water Utility has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory that was issued on July 16.
That advisory, which was implemented due to a broken water main, was in effect for western and southwestern portion of Jackson County. It included the areas of Clearspring, Norman, Sparksville and the rural area around Medora. The northeastern portion of Lawrence County, including the areas of Zelma, Power Line Road and Back Creek Road was also under the advisory.
The utility company says testing has been completed. There is no evidence of bacteria in the water supply.
