Columbus officials continue their efforts at improving neighborhoods within the city.
Mayor Kristen Brown is inviting residents of the Morningside Park area to a neighborhood meeting to discuss public safety, neighborhood and park appearance, and area improvements.
The meeting will be held Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Eastside Community Center located at 421 McClure Road.
"This meeting is an opportunity to have an open dialog with our residents to hear their thoughts and concerns," Mayor Brown said. "We want to work with them to ensure their neighborhood is a safe place they can proudly call home."
Chris Schilling, with the city's Office of Community Development, says that Mayor Brown will discuss recent improvements to Morningside Park. She will also listen to residents' ideas and concerns about their neighborhood.
The mayor will be joined by other city leaders, including a representative of the Columbus Police Department. Eastside Community Center Executive Director Priscilla Scalf is also scheduled to be in attendance.
