Columbus Public Safety spokesman Lt. Matt Myers says a man going around the city asking to paint reflective numbers on curbs is not the same man that is the lone suspect in the Waynesville murders.
Myers says 42-year-old Samuel Eric Sallee is from Ohio and is not 55-year-old Samuel Earl Sallee, who is still sitting in the Brown County Jail on an unrelated case.
Myers says the two men are not related and he is not going around asking for donations to help the alleged murderer. He says the Ohio man has been here before and is filling out all the necessary paperwork to work here.
Myers adds that Sallee will leave brochures describing the work he will do at your home. Then if you want the work done, Sallee will come by, get your information, and then do the work. He will also let you pay then or will send you a bill.
Myers thanks residents for their quick action in this situation and said they did the right thing by calling police.
