Public Safety Family Fun Day Set for Aug. 10

The City of Columbus Public Safety Family Fun Day takes place Saturday, Aug. 10, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., outside of City Hall. This event will follow the Mayor's Motorcycle Ride being held earlier in the day.

There will be a free lunch, live music and public safety demos by Columbus Police officers and Columbus firefighters.

Fire Engine 1, the Police SWAT truck, Bomb Squad and patrol cars will be on display. Rex the K-9 will demonstrate his skills. "Tilly" the miniature fire engine will be available for rides.

ABATE will have the Tiny Tots motorcycle riding experience for kids 80 pounds or less who want to learn to ride safely.
