A Seymour girl died in a one-vehicle crash in Washington County Sunday.
Indiana State Police say the crash happened around 3:40 p.m. in the 900 block of State Road 135 north of Salem.
Officials say 32-year-old Misty Woods, of Seymour, was going south on State Road 135 when for an unknown reason, her car drove off the east side of the roadway.
When the vehicle left the roadway, it flipped an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its wheels. Woods' 10-year-old daughter, Sierra Woods, was wearing her seatbelt, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Misty Woods was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville with non-life threatening injuries. It is unknown at this time if the driver was wearing her seatbelt.
The investigation continues.
The Washington County Sheriff's Department, Washington County Fire and EMS and a trooper from the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles assisted at the scene.
