Republican State Representative Milo Smith of Columbus has won his battle against the city of Columbus over a piece of property he owns at Harrison Lakes that he wants to split into two lots.
Our news gathering partners at "The Republic" report the Columbus Board of Zoning Appeals Tuesday voted 3-1 to approve Smith's request.
The paper says the board's president, Eric Frey, first sought to deny the request but could not find support from his fellow board members. He voted against the motion to approve Smith's application.
Board member Tom Wetherald was not at Tuesday's meeting.
