It seems the sale of FairOaks Mall in Columbus won't be taking place as scheduled next week.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office told our news gathering partners at "The Republic" that it will be at least November before the sale happens.
Officials received word recently from the attorney representing Wells Fargo Bank to cancel the sale. A new date will be set soon.
The sale was originally set for May 14, then it was delayed until July 9 and then until Sept. 10.
The paper reports the 415,000-square-foot retail center is headed to sheriff’s sale because of an unpaid $21.2 million mortgage. That's according to Bartholomew County legal records.
