The city of Columbus invites you to attend a second open house for the developing State Street Corridor Plan Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be held in the Fodrea Elementary School cafeteria in Columbus.
Chris Schilling, with Community Development, says this open house will help prioritize improvements suggested at a previous open house held earlier this summer and identify which projects you feel are the most critical for the contemplated revitalization of the area.
A brief presentation will start at 6 p.m. to provide an overview of the planning process for the developing State Street Corridor Plan. You will then have the opportunity to review previously identified improvement projects and provide your thoughts on prioritization of those projects for future public investment.
The planning process for the State Street corridor focuses on the long-term revitalization of the State Street area, including the surrounding residential neighborhoods and industrial and commercial areas. When completed, a revitalization plan for the State Street corridor will include an evaluation of current conditions in the State Street area and provide strategies and recommendations for improving the area in the future.
