A Scott County man pleaded guilty recently to one count of causing death while driving under the influence of a controlled substance in connection with the death of 17-year-old Danika Collins of Seymour last fall.
The "Seymour Tribune" reports 19-year-old Garan A. Terrell, of Austin, faces up to four years in prison under a plea agreement with the Jackson County prosecutor’s office.
Terrell was arrested in connection with Collins' death following a wreck on Seymour’s far west side.
The paper reports Terrell pleaded guilty to the one charge, causing death when operating a motor vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance in the blood. Two other charges, including reckless homicide, were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
