A Scottsburg woman was arrested Friday morning on charges that she stole money from the bank that she used to manage.
Trooper Tim Denby, with the Indiana State Police Special Investigations Unit, arrested 24-year-old Renea D. White on 10 felony counts. She is facing five counts of theft and five counts of defrauding a financial institution.
Trooper Denby conducted a seven month investigation into White's activities as manager of the Centra Credit Union branch in Scottsburg. That investigation allegedly revealed that White took more than $63,000 over a one-year period by allegedly taking money from the teller drawer and manipulating customer accounts. The alleged incidents took place from Jan. 2, 2012 through Jan. 18, 2013.
White surrendered to the Scott County Circuit Court and was booked in to the Scott County Jail. The investigation continues.
