Indiana State Police need your help identifying a Hispanic man who was allegedly killed after being hit by a pair of vehicles on I-65 early Monday morning in Greenwood.
ISP investigators say the incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near the 98 mile marker.
Witnesses told investigators that the man was lying in the roadway of I-65 and was struck by two vehicles. Investigators are trying to ascertain why he was there in the first place.
Investigators say there is no evidence that the victim was injured prior to being struck. Police found no vehicles in the immediate area that would indicate he had car trouble and was walking for assistance.
The Johnson County Coroner's Office pronounced the man dead at the scene. The individuals that struck him were not injured and were able to drive from the scene.
The coroner is asking for anyone with information concerning the man's identity to call them. He is described as a Hispanic male with black, spiked hair and a goatee. He was wearing jeans, blue t-shirt, green flannel jacket and black shoes.
