The Jackson County Public Library in Seymour will host a program called "Bullying: Is Your Child a Bully?" Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the library located at 303 W. Second St.
The Indiana University of Public Health is sponsoring the program. Linda Henderson, the community relations specialist with IU Public Health, says she will be joined by two graduate students - Terri Lee and Michaela Cisney - who will be presenting the program.
Henderson says they will be addressing issues like what is bullying, what are the signs of a bully, and what are the signs if you child is being bullied, and what are your signs if your child is a bully.
Henderson adds that the media has put a lot of hype on bullying, so a lot of behaviors are being labeled as bullying when actually they are not. She says some behaviors slide by when in fact they are bullying behaviors.
Registration for the free program needs to be done by Saturday. You can register online at www.myjclibrary.org/events or call 812-522-3412 ext. 1243.
