The Honda plant in Greensburg is celebrating its Fifth Anniversary today.
The car maker began production of its Honda Civic sedan with 1,000 associates and one shift on Oct. 9, 2008. Today, the facility operates two shifts featuring more than 2,000 workers producing not only the Civic Sedan, but also the Honda Civic Natural Gas, the Acura ILX and ILX Hybrid, and the Civic Hybrid.
Company officials say the plant boasts one of the most diverse lineups of advanced environmental vehicles of any plant in North America.
More than 650,000 vehicles have rolled off the production line during Honda's time in Greensburg.
