The Seymour Community School Corporation has decided to renovate Margaret R. Brown Elementary School.
Superintendent Robert Hooker says the expansion is needed due to increasing student numbers and the need for new technology. He says this project will be comparable to the project being completed at Emerson Elementary. "This is our opportunity to add between four and five different classrooms and perhaps a new set of restrooms," Hooker said.
The project, which Hooker estimates will cost $1.9 to $2 million, could begin as early as this March. If all goes well, renovation work could be completed by the start of the 2015-2016 school year.
