Two people were arrested on meth-related charges in Scott County Wednesday.
Sgt. Jerry Goodin, with Indiana State Police in Sellersburg, says 30-year-old Eric Sizemore is charged with dealing in methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia with a prior arrest, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Twenty-one-year-old Darion Allen is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors in the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
Goodin says around noon, a trooper from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg and a probation officer from the Scott County Probation Department executed a probation visit at an apartment located at 300 N. Gardner St. in Scottsburg. The visit was being conducted on Sizemore who lived there. Allen, who was an acquaintance of Sizemore's, was also there.
When the trooper and probation officer entered the apartment, they immediately noticed items commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Sizemore and Allen were immediately taken into custody and a search warrant for the apartment was obtained.
A thorough search of the apartment yielded several items used in the production and/or possession of methamphetamine. Sizemore and Allen were both charged and lodged in the Scott County Jail awaiting their first court appearance.
