A North Vernon man was formally charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit murder for allegedly wanting to pay another man $10,000 to kill his wife.
Our news gathering partners at "The Republic" report 45-year-old Daniel Rodgers was taken into custody Oct. 25 following an investigation into illegal activity. That's according to a police report.
The paper reports Rodgers made his initial appearance in Jennings Circuit Court, and attorneys Brad Kage of North Vernon and Jeremy Seal of Seymour were appointed as his attorneys. Judge Jon W. Webster ordered Rodgers to continue to be held on $300,000 bond.
