Monday night's Columbus Redevelopment Commission was parking intensive.

Members of the commission spent the evening talking about parking garages, their spots and enforcement measures. At issue, is the apparent confusion among the public about what spaces are available, and when, to the general public, at both parking garages.

There were also concerns about leased spaces, and when and where they are utilized. Those spaces are, for the most part, dedicated to Cummins, the U.S. Postal Service and for residents of The Cole Apartment Complex.

Members of the commission decided that a special meeting needs to be held dedicated to the parking issue. The date for that meeting has not yet been set.
