It may be a few weeks before we know what caused a fire that killed two children and critically injured their mother Friday in Nineveh.
The "Daily Journal" reports the Indiana Fire Marshal spent Saturday at the two story home looking for potential causes of the blaze, which destroyed the building Friday afternoon.
Johnson County Coroner Craig Lutz told the paper the fire marshal has finished the investigation at the home located at 1044 E. County Road 775S, but a report that includes the cause of the fire and where it started in the home is likely weeks away.
The fire killed 6-month-old John Slusher Jr. and 18-month-old Haley Slusher. A family member says the children's mother, Serena Slusher-Abbott, is in a medically induced coma at an Indianapolis hospital.
