The Bald Eagles are holding an event marking the 72nd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The gathering will take place Friday night in Brown County.
Floyd Crouse is with the Bald Eagles. He calls the group a loose-knit contingent of people who are interested in flying, planes and history. Crouse says that he is honored to continue the work started three decades ago when Bob Hamilton and Walter Lyles first put the event together.
Crouse says the presentation will be different from those of years past. He says that Bob Kelly, who has spoken at previous gatherings of the Bald Eagles, will be the guest speaker. Crouse says that Kelly will talk about the Eagles Nest Project, which helps to build airplanes in public schools. He says what makes Friday night's presentation so different is that past presentations were focused on history. Crouse says that the Eagles Nest Project focuses on the past, present and future.
Friday night's event will be held inside the conference center at The Seasons lodge in Nashville. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. A buffet dinner begins at 7 p.m., and the presentation begins at 8 p.m. Cost to attend is $28 and can be paid by cash or check on the night of the event. Attendees need to RSVP by Monday evening with Crouse. He can be reached by phone at 812-603-3535 or by email at email@example.com.
