Three people were injured in a two-car crash in the 8200 block of South Nineveh Road in Johnson County around 5:30 Monday afternoon.
Johnson County Deputy Chad Allen says 29-year-old Ashley M. Alexander, of Nineveh, was going south on Nineveh Road when she looked to her right while driving to wave at someone when she dropped the right wheels of her SUV off of the roadway. She then overcorrected, lost control of her SUV, went completely left of center and struck a northbound car head-on driven by 20-year-old William Colt Johnson of Nineveh.
Alexander and Johnson were both taken by different ambulances to Methodist Hospital for treatment of their injuries. A passenger in Johnson's car, 31-year-old Brian C. Draeger of Nineveh, was taken to Methodist by Lifeline due to suffering some minor bleeding to his head.
Deputy Allen had Alexander and Johnson consent to a blood draw and left his information with them.
It's unknown if Johnson and Draeger were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Alexander was wearing her seat belt.
