The Decatur County Sheriff's Department is getting a new vehicle.
The "Greensburg Daily News" is reporting that the Decatur County Commissioners approved Sheriff Greg Allen’s request for the purchase of a 4-wheel drive utility vehicle during their Monday meeting.
According to the story, the vehicle will be assigned to the county school resource officer. It will also be used by the Emergency Management Agency in emergency situations throughout the county.
"I’m happy that the commissioners approved the request. I think it will be a good asset to the county, as well as our agency," Sheriff Allen told the newspaper on Monday.
