The town of Elizabethtown has been awarded a planning grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for a storm drainage system study.
Officials say the $29,160 grant will be used to evaluate the existing drainage system and make recommendations for improvements to the existing structure along with any additional needs.
The funding comes from the Community Development Block Grant program, which has proven to be an effective tool for community-based planning and research initiatives. Elizabethtown provided a local match of $3,240.
The CDBG program is administered by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
