More Jackson County residents were on the job in November than in October, but not enough to keep the county’s unemployment rate from rising for a second month in a row.
"The Seymour Tribune" reports that an additional 132 people were employed in November compared with October. The county’s labor force also grew in November, but the number of people reporting they were unemployed and looking for jobs was also up. That left the county with an estimated unemployment rate of 5.9 percent for November, up from October’s 5.7 percent.
