Two Killed in Washington County Crash

Two people were killed in a Monday morning crash in Washington County.

Sgt. Jerry Goodin, with the Indiana State Police Post in Sellersburg, says that just before 9:15 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to a two vehicle crash on Hardinsburg-Livonia Road, just north of the intersection of West Knight Road. According to the report, the crash was a head-on collision and both drivers were killed.

Goodin said the preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Tami J. Durbin, of Hardinsburg, was traveling northbound. As the car topped a hill crest, it ended up in the southbound lanes striking an SUV driven by 64-year-old Terry P. Collins, of Orleans. Neither vehicle was carrying passengers.

Goodin says an investigation in to what caused the crash is still underway.
