A Johnson County gas station has been closed for the second time in just a few weeks.
WISH-TV in Indianapolis is reporting that a Phillips 66 convenience store in the 400 block of East Jefferson Street in Franklin that was closed down recently after a two-year investigation in to allegations that it sold spice and other illegal, synthetic drugs, has been shut down again.
According to the report, after the initial bust, which resulted in the arrest of family members of the store's owners, led to a momentary shuttering of the business. Johnson County Prosecutor Brad Cooper told the television station that Franklin Police did not believe they had the authority to keep the business shut down. Cooper said that resulted in him getting a court order to shutter the business a second time.
According to the report, the owners of the business, Nachhattar Singh and Harinder Kaur, are in India. Their attorney has indicated that the pair plan to turn themselves in when they return to Franklin in January.
