Plane Crash in Greenwood

Two people were injured when a plane carrying a student pilot and instructor crashed in a Greenwood field Tuesday morning. The cornfield is near Combs and County Line roads, east of Interstate 65.

"The Daily Journal" in Johnson County reports the small plane was carrying two people from the Greenwood Airport flight school. Both were injured. The student pilot was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital. The pilot had a large cut on his head. The names of those involved have not yet been released.

Therre were no reports of injuries or damage to buildings on the ground.
