Project WILD has spots available

There are spots remaining for a wildlife workshop being held next Saturday, April 12 at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Seymour.

Donna Stanley, a refuge staff member, says there are still some openings remaining for the Project WILD workshop. It is being held in the Visitor Center, beginning at 9 a.m. It is expected to be finished around 3:30 p.m.

Stanley describes Project Wild as "an award-winning program correlated with State educational standards." She says the program is a fun way to teach young people about wildlife and habitat conservation. Stanley says the program will be of interest to teachers, scout and church-group leaders, as well as parent who home-school their children.

The cost of the program is $20. It includes curriculum guides and lunch.

To register for this event, call (812) 522-4352 or email muscatatuck@fws.gov.
