Student lands sheriff's scholarship

Bartholomew County Sheriff Mark Gorbett announced this morning that the Indiana Sheriffs' Association is giving a $500 scholarship to Columbus North High School senior Dylan Prather.

Prather won the outstanding student award for the C4 law enforcement program. He is member of the Columbus Police Department Cadet Program and a part-time corrections officer in the Bartholomew County Jail.

Prather will be attending the University of Indianapolis this fall majoring in criminal justice.  

As his senior project, Prather raised more than $15,000 for the Columbus Police Department to purchase its newest police dog, Max. You can find more information on our website at wcsiradio.com
