Columbus to hold public safety event at Donner Park

The city of Columbus will hold a public safety fun day from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Donner Park.

You will be able to see public safety demonstrations from representatives of the Columbus police SWAT team, bomb squad and police dogs. And there will be fire trucks on display, including Tilly the miniature fire engine for kids, and you can visit the “Survive Alive” safety trailer.

Mayor Kristen Brown, Fire Chief Dave Allmon and Police Chief Jon Rohde will be on hand to talk about public safety issues or other items of interest to residents.

And Donner Pool will be open during the event with no charge for swimming.
