Five men were picked up on indecency charges in a sting operation at the Driftwood River public fishing area on U.S. 31 in northern Bartholomew and southern Johnson counties.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources reports that the sting was in response to complaints from the public. Undercover officers arrested men who exposed themselves or fondled the plain-clothes officers.
62-year old Martin Dobbs of Edinburgh and 64-year-old Ronnie W. Jones of Franklin were arrested on charges of public indecency, public nudity and battery. 64-year-old John I. Kimbler of Indianapolis, 42-year-old Matthew L. Nichols of Greenwood and 63-year-old Barry J. Hearin of Franklin were arrested on public indecency charges.
Jones, Hearin and Kimbler were arrested at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports,
The men are also banned from all DNR properties for a year.
"One of our primary goals is to make all of our DNR properties safe and family friendly," said 1st Sgt. Jeff Barker, with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. "This type of illicit behavior does not fit within that goal."
