Seymour man dies in two-vehicle crash

A 63-year-old Seymour man has died after a crash Thursday morning.

"The Seymour Tribune" reports that Lee S. Ertel died from injuries sustained in the two-vehicle crash. The accident took place at about 7:45 a.m. at county roads 400 East and 550 North, just south of Cortland in Jackson County.

The paper reports that Ertel was pronounced dead at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The driver of the second vehicle, 18-year-old Garrett Lee Fields, also of Seymour, was also flown to Methodist Hospital. His condition was not made available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
